Libertyville Celebrates New Business Park

Midwest Industrial Funds joined local officials and LCP in celebrating a groundbreaking for the Libertyville 45 Corporate Center, a Class A spec redevelopment on a high-visibility 19-acre site, which will feature two buildings sized 169,065 sq. ft. and 165,234 sq. ft. and have the ability to service a multitude of uses including corporate headquarters, distribution, assembly, and manufacturing.

Delegation Strengthens Business Ties with Japan 

Lake County Board Chair Sandy Hart and LCP president and CEO Kevin Considine joined Chicagoland leaders on a delegation trip to Japan, coinciding with the 50-year sister city partnership between Chicago and Osaka. The visit marked a significant milestone in fostering international collaboration, business attraction and economic growth.

Upon his return, Kevin Considine was named a TITAN 100, making him one of only 100 CEOs and C-level executives in the Chicago region to receive the honor, awarded to him for his influence on business and investment.

EVBox Event Heralds New Green Technology

Governor Pritzker joined local officials in visiting EVBox in Libertyville, once again putting Lake County in the spotlight as a leader in Illinois’ thriving electric vehicle industry. The celebration commemorated EVBox’s launch of a next-gen fast charger that will be instrumental in amping up electric vehicle use and advancing clean energy goals.

What is ComEd's Energy Efficiency Program, and how can it help business leaders save money?

Our energy efficiency program is one of the most extensive utility programs around.  We have prescriptive and custom programs for our business customers with more than $160M in annual incentives available. Since our program’s inception in 2008, over 126,000 businesses have saved more than $3.3B in electricity costs from our energy efficiency incentives. How does ComEd stack up when it comes to the reliability and cost of energy?

I’m proud to say ComEd was just named the Most Reliable Electric Utility in the US by PA Consulting!  Since beginning our smart grid investments in 2012, reliability has improved more than 80%, helping customers avoid more than 19 million outages.  Equally as impressive is ComEd’s average commercial rate - it is 20% less than the utilities that cover the top twenty metropolitan areas and 35% less for industrial customers.

How is ComEd gearing up for increased electrification in the future?

ComEd will invest $231 million over the next three years to help customers make the transition to electrification. This commitment will support various new programs designed to remove barriers to electric transportation and residential technologies—including, but not limited to, electric vehicles (EVs) and charging infrastructure, as well as all-electric heat pumps, which are high-efficiency heating and cooling devices.
