T5 Data Center Grows In Lake County

T5 Data Centers is investing heavily in Lake County with the development of a 160-acre site at the Cornerstone of Grayslake. The space will provide critical IT capacity across multiple data center buildings, support cloud and artificial intelligence workloads and fortify Chicagoland’s prominence as a major data hub. This is yet another significant investment at the Cornerstone development, and it will be a great fit with the IT and cybersecurity apprenticeships at the College of Lake County.

Another advantage is our strategic location as a freight and transportation hub, allowing us to provide efficient transportation solutions and significantly improve logistics and delivery times for our customers.

Lake County is also home to many outstanding professional organizations and services dedicated to meeting the needs of local businesses and fostering growth and success. This includes cutting-edge advancements in technology and education at the Lake County Tech Campus and the Advanced Technology Center.

How can manufacturers get more involved in the community?

A great way for manufacturers to strengthen connections within the community is by forming partnerships with local entities such as municipalities, park districts, and business organizations. Partnering with local high schools, the CLC Tech Campus, and local charities can also strengthen community ties and enhance your community engagement. What legacy do you want to pass on to your children?

I want to instill in my children the values of goodness, reliability, and trustworthiness. I hope to pass down the principles of care for others, personal growth, honesty, and integrity. My goal for Fischer revolves around the simple vision of being a great supplier and employer, striving to be an organization that always does what’s right for our customers, team members, and community.

Which trends will impact the future of manufacturing?

Trends like automation will heavily influence the future of manufacturing and improve efficiency for a workforce experiencing high turnover. Digitalization, AI, and machine learning will play increasingly important roles in decision-making, efficiency, margin optimization, training, and development. Additionally, creating sustainable and safe career paths in manufacturing and modern workplaces will be essential for attracting and retaining workers and overall success.
